Why is the structure moving?
Brick veneer is the single outer layer of brick on most Atlanta homes, hung there for looks and weather. Metal wall ties in the mortar joints hold the veneer to the framing. This is the true structural problem. Some builders set brick straight onto plywood and framing with no steel angle iron to carry the weight.
How is the repair completed?
Brick wall repairs follow a set order, because the order is what makes the repair hold. We check the cracks, gaps, corners and inside walls, then tell you whether the foundation or the veneer moved, and why. If the footing settled, the same crew first drives steel push piers to load-bearing strata, with unlimited depth at no extra charge. When there is debris behind the brick, we probe and drill it out first so the wall has room to come back.

Most brick veneer stabilization jobs run about $4,500 to $6,500. Tearing down and rebuilding a brick gable wall typically runs $15,000 to $20,000, so stabilizing it usually costs less than half of a rebuild.
